Malin Molden is a Norwegian fashion designer, entrepreneur, and creative director based in Oslo. She is the founder of FLESH, a colourful and gender-inclusive fashion brand established in 2016 with the ambition of creating clothing and experiences that transcend traditional ideas of gender, identity, and self-expression.
Drawing inspiration from storytelling, symbolism, subcultures, dreams, and everyday life, Molden creates immersive creative universes that extend beyond fashion into art, events, and cultural production.
Fashion as Narrative
At the core of Molden’s practice is storytelling. Inspired by literature, symbolism, and the power of visual communication, she approaches fashion as a medium for creating characters, narratives, and emotional experiences.
A formative influence was a high school teacher who introduced her to literary analysis, symbolism, and narrative structure. This experience shaped her understanding of creative work as a form of storytelling, whether expressed through words, garments, events, or visual worlds.
Building a Creative Universe
At just 22 years old, Molden launched FLESH without formal industry experience, driven by a vision of creating a playful, welcoming space where people could explore and express their identities freely.
Since then, she has developed a distinct aesthetic universe characterized by colour, humour, inclusivity, and experimentation. Her work aims to create spaces where audiences feel seen, empowered, and encouraged to embrace who they are.
