We Are Molecules: An Immersive Art Performance Party Exploring Human Connection
Setting the Scene
Created as part of the anniversary program for Oslo Runway 2025, We Are Molecules brought together music, fashion, scent, performance, and spatial design in an immersive one night experience. Developed by COLLECTIVE OSLO in collaboration with Ora the Molecule and an interdisciplinary creative team, the project invited audiences to become active participants within a living artwork rather than passive spectators.
Redefining the Nightlife Experience
We Are Molecules explored a new form of cultural gathering where club culture, live art, performance, and sensory storytelling merged into one shared experience. Through music, guided meditation, scent design, movement, fashion, and scenography, guests became part of an evolving collective composition centered around connection, transformation, and presence.
From Audience to Participant
Marking the first time Ora the Molecule entered the field of live immersive art performance, the project expanded beyond the format of a traditional concert or club night. Guests moved through a series of carefully designed sensory environments where sound, scent, light, fashion, and choreography interacted to create an experience grounded in participation and collective energy.
Inspired by the idea that all living things share a common molecular origin, the performance explored themes of interconnectedness, identity, and transformation. Throughout the evening, audiences became part of an unfolding artistic ritual where boundaries between performer and participant gradually dissolved. The result was an immersive environment balancing intimacy, experimentation, and celebration while reflecting Oslo Runway’s commitment to forward thinking cultural programming.
Our Approach
Our approach focused on creating a fully immersive and co created experience where every artistic discipline contributed to a shared narrative. Rather than building a traditional stage based performance, COLLECTIVE OSLO developed an environment where music, scent, movement, fashion, and spatial design existed as interconnected layers of one living artwork.
COLLECTIVE OSLO led the concept development, creative direction, and production of the project, bringing together a multidisciplinary team of artists, designers, performers, and cultural practitioners. Through careful orchestration of sensory experiences, audience movement, and artistic collaboration, We Are Molecules transformed a single evening into a collective exploration of presence, connection, and contemporary cultural expression.
